Recommend a buy
Recommend something someone should buy!Yesterday, I bought the Disney Pixar Collection for just £40 in Zavvi (hurry though as they might close, they're in administration.)In the box set is Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, Pixar Short Stories and the Pixar Story. Every film has bonus features with it, with most of them having 2 discs. Such a bargain! The films are or will be classics. Especially Toy Story and Finding Nemo! Certainly worth buying, especially if you've been given Zavvi vouchers for Christmas! You want to get them used before they're just pieces of paper!
Has Anyone Else Seen 'Up' by Disney & Pixar?
Just recently, I watched 'UP' by Disney & Pixar on DVD. Thinking that it was a cartoon, there was going to be very little in terms of plot and such, however, I hold back on that idea at this point. What a powerful movie this was, in terms of the longevity of love, friendship, sense of self-confidence, inspiration, and best of all knowing that you are not alone in the world. Those are some of the themes I grasped immediately from the first time watching the movie. I'm impressed that Pixar could capture such powerful emotions in a landscape of an hour and thirty minutes. There's a emotional storyline in this movie which flows at an efficient pace. I'm very impressed with this masterpiece of a movie because the characters worked well with the whole theme of the story, they were three-dimensional, and there was meaning within every frame of animation. Though a rather calming film, its strength pulls at the heartstrings, and tickles the funny bone, even if it is only for a minute. Do not miss this newest release, even if you watch it once, or rent it.Let me know how you felt after seeing this movie. I was blown away at the emotional scope, and the impact that each character within...
How do you like the new Disney Pixar cartoons/movies?
Just a general wondering to see if more people share thing feeling...[em]wink[/em].When I look at the new movies Disney is releasing there are more and more coming up that are made by Disney and Pixar together. They are mostly 3D styled toons. Bugs Life, Toy Story, The Incredibles and so on. I think it's a wonderfull technique, but it doesn't give me the 'disney magic' feeling that much? When Lilo and Stich came out I was very excited, even though it has some cool 3D effects it's still a very Disney type of cartoon. I love the older ones like the lion king, beauty and the beast, the hunchback of notre dame, etc. Yes, those have some computer effects aswell but it still was a lot of drawing aswell.I like the way the films were drawn, I liked to see how they were drawn by these very talented people who spend years and years to learn how to draw this way and spend endless working hours on a single film. Yes, I know we are becoming more digitalized every day but can't cartoons just stay cartoons? I allways found that was the charm of the disney films.Don't get me wrong, I like movies like Shrek aswell that are very much digitalized; I just can't seem to get adjusted...

What is your Favorite Disney/pixar Movie?
I like Finding Nemo
It's one of my favorite movies
My kids love Finding Nemo!
My 2 boys love this movie - and many others - but I am getting sick of watching them over and over! Any suggestions on some good Kid or family movies? Doesn't have to be animated, just has to hold the attention of little boys for a while as we sit down for a rest each day with a movie on. Thanks
Who is your favorite Disney character?
